It was announced that Sandra Bullock is to be honored at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards today, the actress, 46, will accept the "MTV Generation Award."

Academy Award-winning actress Sandra Bullock will receive the “MTV Generation Award” during the “2010 MTV Movie Awards” for her riveting and diverse contributions to the film industry and for entertaining generations of the MTV audience over the last two decades.

Bullock is the first woman to get the honor, and is considered one of the most accomplished and beloved actresses of her time.

Since her breakout role in the 1994 hit action film “Speed,” Bullock has captivated audiences by starring in blockbuster motion pictures that include “While You Were Sleeping,” “A Time To Kill,” “Crash,” “Miss Congeniality,” “Hope Floats,” “Two Weeks Notice” and her “2010 MTV Movie Awards” nominated fan-favorites “The Proposal” and “The Blind Side.”

The “MTV Generation Award” is the “MTV Movie Awards” highest honor, acknowledging an actor who has engaged the MTV audience throughout their career.

Sandra Bullock is classy, sophisticated, talented and humble and her speech at the MTV Movie Awards for the generation award proves exactly why she’s one of the most respected actresses on the planet.

Bradley Cooper, Betty White and Scarlett Johansson presented the award to Sandra. Sandra laughed uncontrollably as Bradley Cooper introduced her in many forms including “the sand man” and “S-bomb,” but quickly teared up when Betty white began singing her praise.

Sandra made an amazing speech where she had a chance to clear things up including “I’m not dead” “everyone has cellulite, not just me,” and “paparazzi need more flattering lenses.” And did I mention she looked hot? She did. Smoking hot, actually.

I weren’t sure what Scarlett was doing on stage until the end of Sandra’s speech. Finally, Johansson just stood on the stage and said nothing. Once Bullock got up to the microphone, she told Johansson that she loved her, but her presence was "a little weird," and asked what she was doing there. The tall blonde explained that she was there for her husband, Bullock's The Proposal costar Ryan Reynolds, who couldn't attend. Johansson also noted that Bullock and Reynolds should have won the MTV Award for Best Kiss (which instead went to Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson), because their kiss was "so sweet."


So Bullock lip-locked with Johansson. That accomplished, Bullock said, "Can we please go back to normal – because therapy is really expensive." She also asked for a prayer for those contending with the oil spill in the Gulf.
