Having lost faith in the human race, a legion of angels descend to Earth to bring about the Apocalypse. Humanity's only hope lies in a group of strangers trapped in a diner and the Archangel Michael himself.
Legion is directed by Scott Stewart, who is just starting out in the director's chair. He is also the director of Priest which is a highly anticipated film similar to Legion. Previously he was the visual effects artist who worked on films like Sin City, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Iron Man. Legion boasts somewhat of an all-star cast with names like Paul Bettany, Dennis Quaid, Tyrese Gibson, Doug Jones, Charles S. Dutton and Lucas Black.
After seeing the trailer for Legion the only things that were going through my mind were "That was awesome", "That was scary" and "That was so Constantine". It also made me realize how much I loved Constantine and this kind of genre of movies. So let's just say I cannot be more stoked for this movie, as well as for Constantine 2 if it ever gets made.
Legion hits American screens January 22 of next year and as for Malaysia, no word on a release date yet. In fact, I wouldn't hope for the film to get distribution here on the basis of it's Christian theme.
